Conservation Management

Northlands Habitat Management offer control of wanted or unwanted species in a given area.

Our conservation management includes the prevention of succession, scrub clearance, reinstatement of desirable habitat, control of unwanted species, such as japanese knotweed(Fallopia japonica, syn. Polygonum cuspidatum, Reynoutria japonica) and himalayan balsam( (Impatiens glandulifera) and planting, with the emphasis being on the reintroduction of native species, leading to a high biodiversity and a natural, self sustaining eco system.

We are also qualified to undertake ditch damming installations on protected peat bog areas.
